Revealing a Deeper Message Through Our Work
THE RESTORATION TRUTH: I have realized through re-building old cars that we can share a special message.  Our '52 GMC was left rotting behind a local barn. The truck was really too far gone, but to me it was special being a GMC and a five-window cab.  The truth is we often think of ourselves as broken down and useless.  Just like rust on metal, sin in our lives eats away at us.  The truth is we are still special in the eyes of Jesus.  Everyone has sinned and just like even the very best show cars, no one is perfect. The Bible clarifies in Romans 3:23, "For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God." We can clean the rust away from these old trucks, but nothing but the Savior can cure us of sin.  The Truth is Christ has already paid the price for our sins. Romans 4:25 says, "He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification."
When we give these old vehicles a new motor, that's like what Christ does for us....He changes our HEART. Â The Truth is Acts 3:19 tells us we must repent and turn away from our sins. Â It's not easy to admit we can't do it on our own but that's what surrendering our lives means. Â We admit we are fallen and we ask Jesus into our heart to clean up our sin. Â By HIS Grace, Mercy and Love we are changed through FAITH in Him. Eph 2:8-9
No matter what we look like on the outside, when we accept Jesus as Lord & Savior, it's what's on the inside that counts.
